AMINA

FEATURE

PROD: OKEY OGUNJIOFER
DIR: IZU OJUKWU
DOP: PETER KREIL

CAMERA: ALEXA CLASSIC/ RED DRAGON, LENS: ZEISS 2.1

National Mirror:
Not only is this film a tribute to the struggle of the girl child for survival and relevance in Nigeria and Africa at large, it is a huge testimony to the great potential of African women and their ability to break through the male barrier. In a season when women are being turned to chattels of goons in the toga of terrorism and fundamentalism; in a season when girls have been brazenly kidnapped and enslaved in the gulag of terrorists for endless days, a film glorifying the worth of African womanhood is indeed a welcome idea; and Ogunjiofor must be commended for this timely historical intervention.

The News Nigeria:
Queen Amina is a thrilling epic movie about the most charismatic warrior, sovereign and queen in the history of Africa who was fathered by the legendary warrior, expansionist, and empire builder, Barkwa Turunku. The movie tells the story of Amina, who lived in the age of man in a man’s world.
